Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu triomphe pour la quatrième fois

Medic, Lindgren, Matusow, Singer et maintenant Daniel Negreanu. Les joueurs professionnels sont au top en 2008. « Kid Poker » a en effet remporté le tournoi #20, joué en Limit Hold’em. Il décroche son quatrième bracelet et remporte la somme 204 874$ pour ce nouvel exploit. C’est la seconde fois que Daniel gagne cet event. En 2004, il décrochait sa troisième gourmette lors cette même épreuve.

Cerise sur le gâteau, Negreanu double pour le moment ses gains. Phil Ivey et Daniel ont en effet misé 200 000$ sur chaque bracelet gagné par l’un ou par l’autre durant les épreuves du WSOP 2008. Pour le moment, le « Tiger Woods » du poker est donc débiteur de 200 000$.

En table finale, il n’y avait pas photo. Negreanu était de loin le joueur le plus expérimenté et le plus capé.

Daniel Negreanu a su attendre son moment en table finale. Alors qu’il ne reste que 4 joueurs, il est loin derrière le chipleader.

Ugur Marangoz se charge d’éliminer Richard Li. Negreanu décide alors d’enclencher la seconde.

Premier à tomber au champ d’honneur : David Baker. Mise à mal, après un bluff raté précédemment contre le très remuant Negreanu, il décide de payer une relance du canadien.

Le flop est dévoilé . Negreanu mise, Baker paye. sur le turn, Negreanu mise à nouveau, se fait relancer et paye. Sur la rivière apparait . Negreanu en misant met automatiquement Baker « all in ». Ce dernier paye, mais ne peut égaler ou battre Negreanu et sa suite - JQ

Le heads-up peut alors se dérouler. Marangoz a vu revenir sur lui Daniel Negreanu. Sauf à habiter sur une autre planète depuis 10 ans, il doit savoir maintenant qu’il est loin d’être le favori.

En moins de temps qu’il ne faut pour le dire. Daniel prend l’avantage et laisse Marangoz mourant avec 285 000 jetons.

15 minutes après le début des hostilités, Marangoz cède.

Les deux joueurs ont alors limpé pour voir le flop . Parole des deux côtés.

Turn , les deux joueurs « check ». Quand apparait la rivière , Negreanu mise et met à tapis son adversaire qui finalement paye. Negreanu dévoile pour un brelan qui lui offre son quatrième bracelet.

Marangoz termine second pour un gain de 126 671$.

En remportant ce quatrième titre, après plusieurs années de disettes, Daniel Negreanu ( team pokerstars ) prouve à chacun qu’il est bien l’un des meilleurs joueurs du monde et les WSOP sont encore loin d’être terminé.
